Apostle Leon M. Emerson

Apostle Leon M. Emerson is the founding Pastor of Now Faith Christian Center Church (NFCCC) in Denver, Colorado. A native of Caruthersville, MO, he later relocated to Denver, Colorado, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  This profound Pastor, Prophet, and Teacher attended Wilberforce University and the Family Bible Institute.

Ordained into the ministry at the age of twenty-four, he and his wife Co-Pastor Yvonne Emerson took the charge to start the church ministry of NFCCC in January 1983. Apostle Emerson proclaims that God instructed him to preach faith back into the hearts of the people and he does so by shepherding with care, excellence, and by example.

Through his leadership, NFCCC has instituted and developed numerous programs/ministries designed to meet the needs of the entire family. The Rocky Mountain News writes, “Pastor Emerson’s baritone voice stirs the crowd with God’s truth and charismatic presence making him one of Denver’s best known civic figures, linking the circle of church, neighborhood and politics.”

Apostle Emerson has received several accolades and awards. He is sincere about challenging men and encouraging them to assume the responsibility as priest of their homes. He is just as passionate about dispelling misconceptions that so often plague men of color and oversees the men’s ministry, “Man Up!”

In addition to pastoring the ever-growing congregation at NFCCC, Apostle Emerson travels throughout the country delivering the life changing word of God. He also hosts the weekly radio and television broadcast, “The Excellent Name of Jesus.” and is the CEO of Colorado Council for Urban Youth Development, a non-profit community oriented organization, established to encourage wealth building among youth. He serves as the President of the Board for Coulors Television Network. He also served two consecutive terms as president of the Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance, which represents over 60 churches in the Metro Denver and Colorado Springs areas. He is the current Vice-President.

Apostle Leon M. Emerson has been married to Yvonne Emerson for 32 years and has four lovely daughters, a son-in-law, and one grandson.
